An application is submitted to the Ministry of Justice with a candidate's CV, educational records and proof of a clean criminal record. Candidates must hold a university level degree (4 year) in translation and interpreting or a degree in languages and 5 years professional experience as a T/I or language teacher. Candidates with other qualifications (degrees inother fields plus experience) are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Speakers of other languages can be approved even if they do not have a degree in that language.
